- What are Emblems? -
Emblems are essentially the type or category of costume, and determines the design theme. They mostly apply to 4-star costumes, though there are a few in the lower rarities. Some of these, such as the Abyssal series, play a role in the greater lore of the game, as well.

-What are Costumes? -
While each character has one main weapon that they're most proficient with, a costume can change a character's stats, elemental proficiency, and most importantly, appearance. Costumes are restricted by rarity, 2-star, 3-star, and 4-star. as stated above. You cannot ascend a star-rating higher by costume, but there are several ways to limit-break the level by character for all costumes. Each costume has a readable blurb, often themed to its Emblem.
